A Brother’s Love is a debutant film by Canadian actress Monia Chokri (Heartbeats, X. Dolan). The film opened the Un certain regard program in Cannes and won the jury award Coup de coeur. This hilarious comedy drama is focused on Sophia, a 35-year old woman with a degree in Political Philosophy but without real life skills. After failing to secure a faculty position, Sophia is forced to “temporarily” move in with her older brother Karim. Their unbreakable bond will be put to the test when, for the first time in his life, Karim falls head over heels in love. In Sophia’s gynecologist, of all the people!
