A giant talkative frog, a lost cat, and a tsunami help a bank employee, his wife and a schizophrenic accountant to save Tokyo from an earthquake and find a meaning to their lives. This animated adaptation of several short stories by Haruki Murakami is composer Pierre Földes’ directorial debut. Steeped in magic realism, the film won Jury Distinction at Annecy, going on to screen at Toronto International Film Festival.
