The year is 1995. Mahir (38) is a refugee from Bosnia who has been living in Pula for several years, in a hotel named after the city. His days are tedious and empty, and his past is unknown. One warm night at the start of summer, Mahir will notice Una, a young woman from Pula, on the beach not far from the hotel. That serendipitous encounter will raise his hopes – that is, until his past catches up with him.
