Deepa and Hari are two high-schoolers in love. When a video they foolishly record in an empty classroom after school gets uploaded to a porn site, the school board assembles a committee to punish them. Yet the committee’s decisions find themselves crippled by the social-caste identities of the two students, provoking markedly different reactions. With the involvement of human rights activist and lawyer Jesse, the issue takes a dramatic turn leading to tragic, life-altering outcomes. The inherent corruption and biases in India’s education system are laid bare in this compelling drama.
