Agnes and Elin are high school students from Amal, a small town that they both hate (Fuc*ing Åmål!). Agnes is a withdrawn girl in love with the popular Elin. However, Elin does not care about her popularity; she is restless and bored all the time. Once Elin ends up at Agnes’ birthday party and kisses her on a bet. This sets in motion a series of events that will have consequences for both girls. The film won Teddy Award in Berlin and Special Jury Prize and Audience Award in Karlovy Vary.
