Almost all transition countries, including Russia, have experienced the horrors of chaotic privatization and corruption. In this riveting thriller with no idle moment, workers kidnap a local oligarch who bought their failed factory for peanuts and declared its bankruptcy. Not having been paid for months, the workers organize themselves and demand a ransom. However, things go wrong because they (except one) are not familiar with fighting or negotiating. The security guards and a special police unit take their positions around the facility. The clock is ticking and allegiances are beginning to fray. Surrounded in the eerie factory, like in John Carpenter’s cult film Assault on Precinct 13, the workers are fighting for their justice.
