A black comedy about seemingly incompatible families: the Pavones and the Vismaras. The former are middle-class intellectuals, the latter are proletarian fascists. These two tribes share the same jungle – the city of Rome. When they encounter after a banal incident, violence escalates. Federico Pavone is a 25-year-old professor of philosophy planning to exhume Nietzsche’s body. Upon learning that he is not part of the team anymore and that he can kiss his dream job goodbye, Federico wants to vent his anger by doing something radical. His actions will lead to a showdown, revealing that nobody is what they seem to be: at the end of the day, we are all predators. The film premiered in Venice, where it won Best Script in the Orizzonti Program.
