An old monkey prince runs aground on an unknown shore. He is found by young Tom and taken in by his parents – scientists who were exiled for daring to believe there are other monkey civilizations. With Tom’s help and with great interest, the prince learns more about this strange and fascinating world and its rigid society.

Jean-François Laguionie is a leading French animator. He also directs short and feature films, including Rowing Across the Atlantic (1978), Gwen (1985) and Louise by the Shore (2016). Xavier Picard is a French animator, director, and producer. He is best known by his film Moomins on the Riviera (2014).
