War Pony follows the interlocking stories of two Lakota boys growing up on South Dakota’s Pine Ridge Reservation. At 23, Bill is determined to hustle his way to the American Dream, and 12-year-old Matho cannot wait to become a man. Desperate for approval from his young father, a series of impulsive decisions turns Matho’s life upside down. Bound by the search for belonging,they navigate their unique paths to manhood. Keough made this unique collaborative film with Gina Gammell and local writers, who she befriended when shooting American Honey. It won the best debut award in Cannes in 2022 (Un Certain Regard). She is the eldest grandchild of Elvis and Priscilla Presley and is known for roles in Magic Mike,Mad Max: Fury Road, etc
