Film about the famous German dancer and coreographer Pina Bausch is the 1000th film at Motovun Film Festival.

This is the first European 3D film as well as the first art film in the world filmed in this technique.

Pina Bausch is the founder of dance theater, who shifted the boundaries of dance expression forever. Her first appearance on the big screen was in 1983, in Federico Fellini's ‘E la nave va’ (And the Ship Sails On), and her last role in 2002, in ‘Hable con ella’ (Talk to Her) by Pedro Almodovar.

The famous dancer died suddenly, a few days before the start of filming, and the director almost gave up on it. He reconsidered it at the urging of Pina’s fellow dancers from Tanztheater Wuppertal, who dance the viewers from the theater scene in which she performed to the city streets and surrounding Wuppertal.
