A controversial anti-war drama that tackles the issues of individual and collective evil. Dubrovnik, 1914. The idyllic life of three young friends, Croat Niko, Italian Toni and Jew Miha, is cruelly interrupted by war and the establishment of the puppet state of Nazi Germany. Toni, engaged to Niko’s sister, joins the Blackshirts, while Niko and his father, captain Baldo, join the resistance movement.
