My Brother Chases Dinosaurs, a film by Stefano Cipani, is coming to Buzet with EFA Young Audience Award under its belt. When Jack was a kid, he thought his little brother Gio was a superhero with amazing powers. However, having realized that his brother actually has Down syndrome, Jack is doing his best to protect him from his classmates. When the truth comes out, Jack learns that his brother’s energy, vitality and unique perspective can indeed change the world and the people in it.
German film Rocca Changes the World directed by Katja Benrath is best described as a “modern Pipi Longstocking”. The 11-year-old Rocca, whose real name is Ria Otili Klementin Cezar Alva, has been living with her father at Baikonur Cosmodrome. As her father is about to get aboard the International Space Station in the Earth’s orbit, Rocca moves to her Grandma Dodo in Hamburg and starts attending school for the first time. Stunning everyone around her with her special skills and knowledge, she helps victims of mobbing and the homeless.
The beautiful animated film The Prince’s Voyage by Jean-François Laguionie and Xavier Picard is coming to Buzet from the Annecy International Animation Film Festival. An old prince runs aground on an unknown shore. He is wounded and lost. He is found by young Tom and is taken in by his parents – a couple of scientists banished from their community for daring to believe in the existence of civilizations of apes… Guided by his new friend Tom, the fascinated and enthusiastic prince discovers a new society.
